Jozani Forest is a very unique place, a national park forest on the island. On 44 square kilometers live endemic Red Colobus monkeys – one of the most endangered primates in the world. It is estimated that there are now 2,000-2,500 monkeys. In contrast to other species of monkeys which tend to be mischievous, Red Colobus are friendly and easy to approach. They come closer and seem to be relaxed and un-bothersome. They won’t steal your hat or take your camera. Just the opposite – they will rather walk by you. Safari Blue

Actually, the Island is only 1 km in length and around 230 meters wide. Earlier, it had been owned by an Arab slave trader who wanted the Island to prevent slaves from escaping. Later, there was a prion build in 1803 which was initially destined to be a house for criminals from the mainland. Next, the Island became a yellow fever quarantine station. You will be astonished to hear the fascinating history of the Island.

The restaurant is situated on a rock outcrop in the Indian Ocean, off the Michamvi Zanzibar. It's about 1 km from the shore and accessible by foot during low tide or by boat.

The Rock Restaurant is renowned for its picturesque setting. Perched on a rock in the ocean, it offers stunning panoramic views of the turquoise waters and the coastline. The restaurant itself is a charming, rustic structure with a thatched roof, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Dhow Sunset Cruise

Dhow cruising has become increasingly popular in Zanzibar, offering visitors a unique and memorable experience. Dhows, traditional wooden sailing boats, are equipped with engines for safety, ensuring a smooth journey even if the wind drops. Cruising around the small islands on a dhow provides a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views, especially during sunset. These sunsets, viewed from the dhow, are described as evocative and timeless.

Most dhow cruises include fruits and refreshments as part of the package. Typically starting at 16:00h from Nungwi inn beach, these cruises take guests on a sail across the bay and along the beautiful coast of Nungwi beach. Snorkeling Mnemba

Mnemba Atoll is a protected oceanic area off northeastern Zanzibar near Matemwe with excellent visibility depths ranging from ten to thirty meters. It includes the small triangular island of Mnemba and a reef area comprising of two by four miles. This breathtaking marine ecosystem is famous for sightings of green turtles and dolphins that like to join you as you snorkel or dive while the seasonal migrating whale sharks and humpback whales announce their presence with an occasional spout of water. On your dive tour of Zanzibar, you will learn of the five main diving locales around Mnemba. Kichwani with its many shaded fish like leaffish, frogfish and nudibranchs are perfect for both beginners and advance PADI divers. A gentle incline of the coral wall, it slopes till thirty meters.

Selous Game reserve safari

Selous Game Reserve is a huge area of protected wilderness that has remained untouched for 1,000 of years, explore this park on a day trip starting from Zanzibar.

The Selous is the biggest game reserve and one of the favourite game viewing areas in Africa. Covering a full area of about 54,600 km2, almost six percent of Tanzania land surface, is amongst the biggest protected wet wilderness area in Africa, Selous game reserve placed in South of Tanzania and 4 times the size of Serengeti.

The Selous game reserve is the size of the Switzerland. A big area of the reserve is drained by the Rufiji River. There are over two-thousand species of plant, over 430 species of birds, and sixty species of mammals, lots of wildlife including leopard, lions, Buffalos, Hippos, and Crocodiles.
